Salió tan cerca, que relojeros reales nos están llamando para comprar nuestras partes para reparaciones genuinas.
- Sí. Deja que eso se asiente.
- ¿Alguien rompe su cristal original o un subdial se jode? Nos están contactando. No porque esté "cerca" --- porque nuestras partes realmente encajan y coinciden con Rolex. Así de preciso es esta cosa.
- ¿La esfera? Irreal. Ese blanco nítido tiene este tono off-white, casi cremoso --- justo como el original. No alguna losa blanca como tiza. ¿Y los subdiales? No los pintamos de negro y ya está. Replicamos esa textura de caracol espiral que Rolex usa. ¿Sabes, la forma en que la luz baila a través de las crestas del subdial cuando inclinas el reloj? Las cortamos --- misma profundidad, mismo espaciado. Maquinado real. Sin atajos.
- Y luego está el cristal. Esto casi nos rompió. Un cristal de Rolex Daytona real tiene este perfil abovedado distintivo --- no es plano como otros modelos Rolex. Los relojeros detectan fakes solo por la forma del cristal. Así que sí, lo escaneamos y medimos hasta fracciones de milímetro, hicimos nuestras propias herramientas, y recreamos la bóveda exacta, recubrimiento anti-reflectivo y todo. ¿Lado a lado con el original? Es indistinguible.
- Adentro es donde se pone realmente loco. Movimiento clon 4131. Sin lag, sin holgura. Incluso lo corrimos en un track day. Completamente preciso.
- El acabado también está clavado. Esa mezcla Rolex Daytona de superficies cepilladas y pulidas, líneas de caja nítidas, y protectores de corona perfectamente formados. Los pulsadores se sienten justo --- no blandos, no rígidos. Incluso el grabado de la parte trasera está ajustado, mismo peso, misma curva, misma fuente que Rolex.
- ¿La pulsera? Sorprendentemente refinada. Balanceada, no voluminosa. Los eslabones centrales brillan justo como el original --- porque copiamos el patrón de cepillado que Rolex usa. El cierre se cierra como si lo dijera en serio. Sin traqueteo. Sin juego. Solo ese snap satisfactorio.
- ¿Lo que realmente nos impactó? Talleres de reparación de relojes están llamando preguntando para comprar componentes.
